Taylor Grey Yates (2014) started attending Dixie State in August of 2009 and received his Associate’s of Science degree in May of 2014. He was born in Sandy Utah to Grey and Jennifer Yates. His parents moved to St. George when he was two years old, and has called Dixie his home ever since.
Taylor graduated from Pine View High School and studied at Dixie State University for one year. In September 2010, he served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Managua Nicaragua. He returned in August of 2012 and began his studies at Dixie.
During his first semester he received his CNA license and began working for Applegate Homecare and Chrysalis. He has always had a passion for the medical field. The following December, he joined the Dixie State ROTC and received a four year scholarship. He planned to join a medical unit once completing his bachelor’s degree. He always looked forward to the great club activites and other events that were held at Dixie State. He espeically enjoyed attending the DSU sports events.
In May 2014 he received his associate’s degree, and also married the love of his life, Jocelyn Yates. At that time he was working for IHC and she was working for a company called IT Works! Global. Taylor said, “When I knew it was a multi-level marketing company I told her she needed a real job, well she didn’t take that very lightly and began to work really hard at it, I went back to Dixie the following August and became a certified EMT.”
In spring of 2015, Taylor became a certified AEMT also received Cadet of the Year Award for ROTC. In March of 2015 he quit his job at the hospital and began working for It Works! Global full-time. Right now, he and his wife work full time with It Works! Global and are in the top 100 income earners of the company. They both have been with It Works! for about 2 years. He is 23 and she is 21 years old. They continue to reside in Saint George living their dreams and working full-time with It Works!
