Fred Ferguson attended Utah Tech University from 2004-2006 where he studied political science and played for the nationally ranked baseball team. While attending Utah Tech, he was a leader in the classroom and on the baseball field. He excelled in Utah Tech’s Humanities Department and was a two-time team leader for the conference championship team. He went on to graduate from the University of Utah with NCAA Division I All-Academic honors with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
He currently serves as Legislative and Policy Director for Congressman Rob Bishop (Utah) and the Congressional Western Caucus, respectively. In these positions, he advocates for the state of Utah and similarly situated western states on a variety of topics, including energy and economic policy. His time at Utah Tech University played a critical role in his development both as a leader and representative of Utah in national politics.
Ferguson is originally from Park City, Utah and currently resides in Washington, D.C. with his fiancé Nicole. His baseball background has proven to be an asset during the summer softball season when congressional leagues are in full swing. He also enjoys playing golf and hiking in his free time.
